FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions

Q: A:
What powers the College Search Engine? The search engine is powered by "Google Custom Search"
Is this search engine owned by Google? No. This project is independent. The overall technology belongs to Google, but Google does not have a search engine dedicated to returning results only on university webpages.
Does this search cover every single university in the world? Unfortunately, there are some limitations in the number of 'refinements' we may use in a CSE (Custom Search Engine), and we had to eliminate some countries from the international database (Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iran, North Korea...)
Will you add more universities? We are continually updating our databases. Should the CSE restrictions change, we will add every single university in the world to the database - even North Korea.
Will you exchange a link with my page? Sure, email us and include a link to our page and if your page is not blacklisted we will consider a link. We are active link exchangers.
How can we contact you? Our contact page.

The College Search Engine is designed for searching the websites of universities and colleges worldwide. No sifting through hundreds of results pages that are mostly irrelevant.

The College Search Engine only returns results that are on college and university webpages, so you know that they are exactly what you are looking for!

You can search curricula, courses, professors and whatever else you choose. We have tried to put all tools for searching colleges on these pages, so if you do not find what you want, or if you have any suggestions, please feel free to contact us and we will try to add more relevant features.

If you want to see what is going on at a particular college, see our sister site www.web-cam-search.com, where we have a search facility which uncovers ONLY webcams on university websites.
